Your first Sunday

What to expect at Niterói (Brazil).

We're a group of ordinary people who have been changed by the love of God and are learning what it means to follow Jesus together. Some of us have been around church for a long time, while others are just beginning to explore faith. What brings us together is the belief that God's grace is greater than our failures, His love is better than we imagined, and His invitation is open to everyone. We believe the Gospel is more than forgiveness for the past; it's an invitation into a transformed life. That's why we make room for both grace and power. The grace that welcomes us as we are and the power of God that changes us from the inside out. We gather around Jesus, share life together, pray for one another, worship, eat meals, ask honest questions, and seek to become people who love God and love others well. More than anything, we want to be a family where people encounter the love of God, experience His presence, and discover the life they were created for.

We're a family centered on Jesus, helping people experience the Gospel of grace and power that saves and transforms, and the love that changes everything

Specifics · coming soon

Two or three things that are uniquely us.

We've asked for Two or three specifics no other campus could claim — e.g. coffee van, language, the walk up the hill, an after-service tradition at Niterói (Brazil).

Kids · Niterói (Brazil)

Bring the kids. They'll love it.

We currently offer Kids' Church during our Sunday gatherings for children through elementary school age. Our heart is to create a safe, joyful environment where kids can encounter Jesus, learn the Bible, build friendships, and experience the love of God in a way that makes sense to them. Our Kids' Church is led by trusted volunteers from our church family who are passionate about investing in the next generation. Because we're still a growing church, we focus more on creating a loving and healthy environment than on building a large program.

First-time hosts at this campus

First-time hosts

A first-time guest can expect a warm and relaxed atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Someone from our team will greet them at the door, help them find their way around, answer any questions, and introduce them to a few people. For families with children, a member of our Kids' Church team will help parents check in their children and get them settled into their age-appropriate environment.

Follow-up
We try to follow up personally. If a guest shares their contact information, someone from our team will usually reach out during the week with a text message or phone call to thank them for coming, answer any questions, and see how we can serve them.

New to church?

Class
We run a Welcome to Futures class on the last Sunday of the month every other month.

Just said yes to Jesus?

When someone begins following Jesus, we help them get connected through three primary environments: one-on-one discipleship, our Sunday Bible School, and our Connect Groups. We believe spiritual growth happens through both personal investment and authentic community.

From Estevão & Melessa

Estevao and Melessa never imagined they would leave the life they had built in the United States. With successful careers, a growing family, and a clear path ahead, they felt God inviting them into something unexpected. In 2024, they moved to Rio de Janeiro with their children, Benjamin and Eleanora, believing that Jesus was calling them to help build a spiritual family and create space for people to encounter His love. What followed has been a journey marked by God's faithfulness. Through new friendships, answered prayers, and countless moments of grace, Futures Rio was born. Their heart has always been simple: to help people experience a Gospel of grace and power, encounter the presence of God, and discover the life and freedom found in Jesus. Today, Estevao and Melessa continue to lead Futures Rio while investing in the city they have come to love. Their passion is to see people from every background find a place to belong, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and become part of God's story of renewal in Rio de Janeiro and beyond.
