Salisbury — Salisbury Plain

A word from Steve & Janine

We are Steven and Janine, the Campus Pastors of Futures, Salisbury. It is our honour and privilege to welcome you into this amazing community that we call our Church. We have been part of this Church for over 3 decades!

We met here, got married and raised our 3 sons who are all following and serving Jesus at this Church!

We have come to find over the years that when you decide to plant yourself in the House of God, you truly do flourish as Psalm 92 tells us. We have definitely experienced that.

So now we get to look out for others and help them experience what has been our journey. So we say with conviction, because we've lived it, that when you choose to make Futures your home, you will grow exponentially in your faith in Christ, understanding of His Word! And, you will flourish.

Your first Sunday

What to expect at Salisbury.

The heart of our campus is simple — we are a family. A warm, genuine, multigenerational community where every age, every culture, and every background is welcomed, valued, and celebrated. From the moment you walk through our doors you'll be met with a smile, a great coffee from our café, and people who are genuinely glad you're here. We don't just worship together on a Sunday — we share a meal together every week, serve our neighbourhood together, and do life together in every sense of the word. We are proudly multicultural and multigenerational. From toddlers to seniors, and people from all corners of the world, this is a community as diverse as it is close-knit. There are groups for mums, seniors, men, and everyone in between — because we believe everyone deserves a place to belong. That's the kind of family we are. One that sets a place at the table for everyone.

We are a warm, multigenerational family that does life together — sharing meals, serving our community, and welcoming people from every age, culture, and background.

Sunday at Salisbury

Only at Salisbury

  • Our Campus has an incredible passion to see souls come to Christ - so much so people now know as Futures, SOULSBURY!! We wear that name with joy and purpose!
  • Here, you'll regularly hear powerful stories and testimonies of people who have boldly shared their faith out in the community - in workplaces, among family, even everyday moments like a conversation in a shopping centre.
  • People have responded, turned to Jesus, and been invited to Church where they have begun a beautiful journey of faith through discipleship & connecting with the Church.
  • We are also a campus that prays - intentionally, regularly and specifically - and we witness God move mountains. Why? Because we know we cannot do this without Him.
  • Jesus said in the Beatitudes, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Those who recognise their need for God are the ones through whom He works most powerfully. We simply hold onto that truth - without God, we can do nothing of eternal value!

Kids · Salisbury

Bring the kids. They'll love it.

Bringing kids to church on a Sunday? We've thought of everything — and we think you're going to love it. We have three dedicated children's rooms, each thoughtfully designed for the age and stage of your child: Little Ones (Ages 1–2) — A safe, nurturing space where your youngest are loved and cared for while you enjoy the service. Preschool (Ages 2–5) — A fun, engaging environment where little imaginations come alive through age-appropriate stories, activities, and play. Primary (Reception – Yr 6) — An exciting program where kids grow in faith, make great friends, and encounter God in a way that's relevant to them. For our teenagers (Yr 7-9) — we offer a Program called Saints, where our Youth Leaders open up the Word of God and have conversations to help develop their spiritual growth.

From Steve & Janine

Hi, we're so glad you're here! We're the Campus Pastors at Futures Salisbury, and this place holds a very special place in our hearts — it's where our story began. Steven and I both found our way here as teenagers, just a year apart in 1990 and 1991. We jumped into the youth and young adults ministry, and what started as two young people finding their feet in faith eventually became a life built together in this community. We have three sons — Ethan, 24, Harrison, 22, and Levi, 17 — and we've watched God do the same thing in their lives that He once did in ours, through the very same church. That's not something we take for granted. That's a gift. To lead the very community that raised us and shaped us — one we have loved for more than three decades — is something we don't take lightly. If you're new here, know that what you're stepping into is something really special. This is a place with deep roots and an open door — where every generation, every culture, and every story is welcomed and celebrated. We can't wait to meet you.
