A word from Doran & Mel

We're so glad you're here. However you found your way to Futures Church — an invite from a friend, a late night search, or just a gut feeling on a Sunday morning — we don't think it was an accident. We're Doran and Mel, and we have the privilege of leading this community. Between us we have two kids, a serious appreciation for good food, and a deep belief that church can genuinely be one of the best parts of your life. What you'll find here isn't polished or performative — it's authentic, real, and approachable. People from all walks of life who've chosen to do this together — the faith, the questions, the growth, and everything in between. We love our Church, we love our people and we can't wait to wait you, Doran & Mel.

Your first Sunday

What to expect at South (Reynella).

At the end of the day, the heart of our campus is the people - and what brought us all together is Jesus. From the second you walk through the door, someone's going to see you, smile at you, and actually mean it. The foyer is big, the coffee's excellent, and there's always something happening before you even find your seat. We're a growing, alive, diverse family - different ages, different backgrounds, different stories - full of young families, youth, young adults and grandparents, all flowing together beautifully. The main auditorium is light, bright and modern, and the energy on a Sunday is something else. The worship is uplifting, the Christ centred message inspiring, and you'll leave ready to make a difference. If you've got kids, they're going to love it here. We have multiple kids spaces designed for them to encounter Jesus, make great friends, and have the time of their lives. And for you? You'll find yourself surrounded by real people with a genuine hunger for God and a passion beyond these four walls. It doesn't stop on Sunday - there are many different small connect groups through the week to go deeper and do life together. We're not perfect and we're not pretending to be. We're just a family with our arms wide open, ready to welcome you in the same way.

We are a multicultural, multigenerational life giving Church that is spirit filled and bible believing - full of authentic, genuine people that love God and love people.

Sunday at South (Reynella)

Only at South (Reynella)

  • We're a campus that genuinely loves people — and it shows. Walk through our doors and you'll find a lot of families and kids doing life together, which gives this place a warmth and energy that's hard to manufacture. We're multicultural, every age and every stage — and that diversity is one of our greatest strengths. Sunday is just the starting point — you'll find people hanging around long after the service, sharing lunch, and meeting throughout the week because the community doesn't stop when the doors close. What really sets us apart is that we believe in people. We see potential in everyone and love releasing people into their passion and calling. We're passionate about discipleship, touching our community in a real way, and giving everything we have to God in our expression. We model Jesus in how we lead, how we love, and how we serve. We're people people. It's what we're most proud of.

Kids · South (Reynella)

Bring the kids. They'll love it.

Kids Church at Futures Church feels less like a program and more like a place where people genuinely love your kids. From the moment you check in to the moment you pick them up, you'll be met by leaders who remember names, notice faces, and actually love being there. It's safe, organised, full of energy, and built for kids to thrive. Every age group has their own dedicated space each service - worship, teaching, games, conversation and plenty of fun along the way. But it goes beyond just keeping kids entertained. We care deeply about helping children build a real, lasting faith in Jesus from a young age - one that sticks with them long after Sunday. And honestly? A lot of parents tell us the same thing after a few weeks - their kids are up and ready for church before they are.

Youth

Youth at Futures Church isn't just a program — it's a movement. We believe every young person carries a call, a purpose, and a bright future ahead of them. So we've built something worth showing up for: passionate worship, real encounters with God, honest conversations, great friendships, teaching that goes deep, and leaders who are genuinely all in. Oh, and we have a lot of fun along the way. Whether it's your first time or you've been coming for years, there's a place here with your name on it.

bU Women

Sisterhood is where women come to laugh, to be honest, to encounter God, and to find the kind of community that makes life feel lighter. Because life is full — and sometimes heavy — and you weren't meant to carry it alone. Through events, connect groups, and conferences, there's always a place to jump in and find your people. It's where some of the best friendships are formed — the kind that go beyond small talk and grow into something genuinely life-changing. Women at Futures Church are finding their confidence, their calling, and their community. Led by women who've walked the hard roads and

This is one of the most important seasons of your life — and we don't take that lightly. Young adults and Uni students are a core part of our Futures South Campus. Whether you've just moved to the South, you're navigating uni, or stepping into your career — you don't have to figure it out alone. Real people, real faith, real community. Midweek prayer

Prayer isn't something we do on the side — it's where everything started. Futures Church was built on it. It's always been in our DNA. We believe prayer moves things and changes people. Our prayer meetings are open, real, and full of faith. There's an expectation in the room that God shows up. Whether you're new to prayer or have been doing it for years, you'll find a community here that shows up

Follow-up
Your first Sunday is just the beginning. In the days that follow, you'll receive a personal call from one of our pastors. From there, we'd love to have you at our New to Church Dinner, a relaxed evening where you'll meet our pastoral team, connect with others, and ask any questions you've been sitting on. We'll also help find a Connect Group where you'll feel like family.

New to church?

Week 1: You arrive, you're welcomed, you find your feet. No pressure, just a great Sunday. Week 2: A team member follows up, checks in, and invites you to take a next step. Week 3: You start to recognise faces. The music feels familiar. It's starting to feel like yours. Week 4: You're connected. To a group, to people, to something bigger than yourself. We don't leave first-timers to figure it out alone. We are there every step of the way to help you feel welcomed and loved.
